Rosalena has been shortlisted for 5 awards in this year's FreeFrom Skincare Awards!

Almost 200 products from over 100 brands have made the shortlist of the seventh annual FreeFrom Skincare Awards – which acknowledge and reward cosmetics ‘free from’ many of the ingredients which some consumers need to or want to avoid.

Leading the way with six shortlisted products in the 14 product categories are Bloomtown, followed by Lyonsleaf and Rosalena with five each, and Green People, Eminence Organic Skincare, Urban Veda, Bare Faced Skin and Kinvara Skincare with four.

The shortlist follows a period of intensive testing of entries by a 100-strong team of dedicated testers, many of whom regularly test for Awards partners Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible, and each with sensitive or problem skin, or with a keen passion for ‘free from’ skincare.

“We were excited by the innovation in products this year,” says Kirsty Mawhinney, Awards Administrator. “Among them were spirulina and beetroot-coloured kids’ bath bombs, solid shampoo cubes, an eyelash oil, a scalp hydrator for men, and a probiotic deodorant.”

“Every year the diversity of entries delights testers and judges,” adds Alex Gazzola, Awards Co-ordinator.“But this year the standard excelled, which is terrific news for those consumers with allergies, problem skin conditions, religious sensibilities and ethical or environmental concerns who rely on free from skincare products.”

This year’s Awards are supported by sponsors NATorigin, Bare & Beyond, Organii, Organyc, Lavera and partners Formula Botanica. Winners and runners-up in all 14 categories – plus additional awards for Best FreeFrom Skincare Brand, Best FreeFrom Achievement, and of course Best Overall FreeFrom Skincare Product – will be announced at an invitation-only awards presentation and networking event held in the Pillar Room, London Olympia, on 5th July 2018.

Notes for Editors:

The Free From Skincare Awards were started in 2012 to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products that are ‘free from’ many of the allergens, ingredients, additives and artificial fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, health concerns, as well as ethical, personal and environmental issues.

They are run by Michelle Berriedale-Johnson, director of all Free From Awards (including the Free From Food Awards and Free From Eating Out Awards), Alex Gazzola, a writer specialising in allergies and ‘free from’, and Kirsty Mawhinney, of brand consultancy Skin Insight.

The announcement of all winners will be made at the Awards’ presentation and networking event, which takes place from 5pm on 5th July in the Pillar Room in London Olympia, and will include a panel debate with three industry figures.
