Rosalena Frank & Sense Face Oil 15ml £42

Ingredients: Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil, Camellia KissiSeed Oil, Oenothera Biennis Oil, Helianthus Annuus Hybrid Oil, Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit Oil, Caprylic / Capric Tirglyceride, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, HippophaeRhamnoides Fruit Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Extract, Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract, Ubiquinone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citrus Aurantium Flower Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Bosweila Carterii Oil, Antalum Album Oil, Citronellol*, Farnesol*, Geraniol*, Limonene*, Linalool* *Naturally occuring ingredients.

Rosalena is completely new to me and it’s a brand I am very happy to have discovered, especially since this oil has the cutest name. I absolutely love facial oils and now is the time that I start incorporating them more regularly in to my routines. This one contains an amazing mix of oils like Buriti, Seabuckthorn, Rosehip, Frankincense and Remodelling Intense that work together to repair, nourish, calm, soothe, rejuvenate, heal and protect the skin. This is such a beautiful oil and it has the loveliest subtle scent thanks to the Rose Otto, Roman Camomile and Neroli and I cannot get enough of it. It has a rich yet not at all heavy texture and the deep amber hue is gorgeous. This is truly a special oil and I can’t wait to start using it more now that my skin is on the drier side due to the cooler weather. Rosalena was founded by the lovely Helena and Maja back in 2013 and together they have created a stunning lineup of oils that are a wonderful treat for the skin and a delight for the senses. Every time I use this oil my skin just drinks it up and looks and feels nourished and glowing. Buriti, Rosehip and Seabuckthorn are some of the best oils for repairing and replenishing the skin and that’s exactly what this oil does.

IOMA Expert Ritual Tabs £9

Ingredients: Fresh Gel Eye Makeup Remover, Flash Youth Eye Contour Concentrate, Lip Lift, Youthful Moisture Cream Day and Night.

IOMA are an incredibly high-tech French brand that have an impressive lineup of products to target every skin issue you can think of. They understand that skincare is very personal and that when creating an effective routine, customization is important to really address each individuals’ needs, and that’s just what they do. They seriously take targeted skin treatments to the next level and after becoming engrossed in their website (here) I am really happy to have had the chance to try their products.

This perfect travel set comes with 2 Eye Makeup Removers, 2 Eye Contour Concentrates, 1 Lip Lift and 2 Day and Night Creams. The eye makeup remover is a light gel texture that feels cooling on the eyes and removes makeup quickly, leaving behind no residue or causing any irritation. The eye product is a light gel-cream texture that applies well and sinks in nicely but it did irritate my eyes a bit and I think that might be down to the fragrance, which I personally found quite strong for use around the eyes. The moisturizer is a lot lighter than I was expecting and felt lovely on the skin. The Lip Lift is an interesting one because it’s volumizing and correcting and is supposed to create a 4D contour effect. It has an unexpected cream texture much like a moisturizer that applies well and absorbs quickly leaving behind the feeling of wearing a comfortable lip balm. I haven’t seen results yet but this is unlike any lip plumping product I’ve seen before. Overall I’m really happy for the introduction to IOMA and really appreciate brands that make it easy to test their products. I would definitely pick up a different set of tabs to try more from them as I love their approach to skincare.

MAGICSTRIPES Wake Me Up Collagen Eye Patches (5 in a pack) £28

Ingredients: Aqua, glycerin, kassou ekisu, betaine, butanediol, aloe yohjyu matsu ekisu, hydrolyzed collagen, rosa rugosa leaf extract, trehalose, hyaluronic acid, tocopherol, vitamin e, carbomer, anthemis nobilis flower extract, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin. Paraben free.

Tired has been my go-to emotion this month and these eye patches have helped to disguise that immensely. Work has been manic and sleep has been hard to come by but not only that, my eyes have been dry and irritated thanks to way too much time spent starting at my computer screen. These have worked wonders to soothe, refresh and revitalize my under eye area and I’m actually wearing a pair as I sit here and write this and they just feel so cooling. Since the weather has been so crazy hot I have kept these in the fridge and that added chill makes them feel even more amazing when you first put them on. These do a really good job of staying in place and I’ve only had to slightly adjust them a couple of times, which is really helpful because I get to somewhat relax while I work and my eyes feel less sore after I’m done. MAGICSTRIPES was created by celebrity Make-Up Artist Natialie Franz, who knows exactly how important beauty hacks are for those strapped for time and that’s what they have been for me – a quick and easy way to look fresh, awake and most importantly, well rested, which I am definitely not at the moment.

Anne Semonin Exfoliating Mask 75ml £42

Ingredients: Aqua (water)/eau, lithothamnium calcareum powder, propylene glycol, octyldodecanol, peg-7 glyceryl cocoate, kaolin, triethanolamine, sorbitol, titanium dioxide, carbomer, phenoxyethanol, parfum (fragrance), methylparaben, xanthan gum, propylparaben, ethylparaben, hexyl cinnamal, amyl cinnamal, ci 19140 (yellow 5), ci 42090 (blue 1).

I am sad to say that this was the one product in this amazing box that did not work for me at all. I was really excited to be introduced to the brand in last month’s box (here) but this mask isn’t for me. Aside from the pretty disappointing ingredients list full of preservatives, additives, dyes (why?) and fragrances, I just found the micro beads quite harsh on my slightly sensitive skin and the scent was overpowering to the point where I could still smell it even after I had removed the mask. I know many others really enjoyed this product and I’m so happy for them but for me, there are way better options out there with better ingredients at a better price. I think Anne Semonin is a great brand overall but this mask just didn’t do it for me and will be passed on to someone who can get better use out if it.

Haeckels Seaweed and Geranium Hand Balm 50ml £18

Ingredients: Fucus Serratus (Serrated Bladderwrack Extract), Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium), Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed Oil), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Ricinoleate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond ) Oil, Tocopherol, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Oil, Salvia Scalrea (Clary Sage Oil), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glyceryl Caprylate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sodium Phytate, Citric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Citral.

Even though this is not a skincare product, it is easily my favourite discovery from the box. I adore everything about this luxurious hand balm and have already looked into getting more from Haeckels because they are such an interesting brand. I have to confess that I am a (no longer) secret hand cream addict and this is now one of my top picks. It’s rich, nourishing and creamy without being heavy or greasy and I absolutely love the scent. It absorbs perfectly and leaves my hands feeling hydrated for hours, and the lovely scent lingers too. It has an excellent ingredients list and is hand crafted in Margate, which is a costal town just east of London. I am in love with the packaging and the size is perfect for throwing into your bag, although I keep this on my nightstand because I love it so much. Haeckels was started by Dom Bridges in 2012, who wanted to create simple, hand crafted products that showcased the natural ingredients found in his seaside town. He makes everything from candles and tea to perfume and face masques, all of which sound incredible. He has created such a unique and exciting brand and I am officially obsessed. If you love hand cream then this is one to try and if you want to discover an impossibly cool new brand then check them out (here) – all their seaweed products sound amazing and the GPS candles and perfumes are so unusual but pretty special, too.

I say it with each box but it is 100% true – Mintd just keep getting better and better. This month’s selection is an outstanding one and I am constantly impressed and amazed by the great products the founder Cheryl keeps curating. Not only that, I have again been introduced to brands that I am so excited to use and that is exactly what I want from a subscription service. This box is worth a massive £139 yet only costs £65, which means you are saving over 50%! I cannot recommend Mintd enough and you can save 10% off your first box with the code 10OFF1SKL (subscribe here). There’s absolutely nothing in it for me, I just don’t want you to miss out, especially since I have had a sneak peek of next month’s box and oh, it’s a good one!
