Even though I am a make-up girl at heart, I still believe in a magic of a proper skincare routine. If you are a friend on Instagram, then you already know just how much I love a good face oil. So when Rosalena kindly offered me to try a few of their bestsellers - I immediately jumped on the bandwagon (so happy I did!). I have been testing these skincare products for some weeks now and if you want to learn more about them, as well as my experience with the brand, then please keep on scrolling!

Overview

Rosalena is a relatively new skincare brand, founded by Helena Chapman and Maja Griffith back in 2013. The brand wholeheartedly believes in natural oil-based skincare formulas, without the use of additives or preservatives. I am a huge fan and supporter of green and 100% natural skincare, which is why I feel extremely thankful that brands like Rosalena exist.

Rosalena's range is gradually expanding and, from what I can tell, both Helena and Maya put a lot of thought into their formulas and selection of ingredients. At the moment their line includes four face oils and a face mist. All products are proudly made in Great Britain.

Beauty & The Beast Face Oil

Let's start off by saying that I absolutely adore Rosalena's packaging. Beauty & The Beast Face Oil comes in this petite mattified glass bottle and contains 15 ml of the actual product. I also like it when face oils come with a little pipette, because it is a nice hygienic and easy way for you to measure just how much of the product you end up using.

Beauty And The Beast claims to leave your skin hydrated, toned, glowing, radiant and healthy. Ingredients here are actually amazing:

Camellia Kissi Seed Oil, Citrullus Lanatus Seed Oil, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Bisabolol, Santalum Album Oil, Rosa Canina Seed Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Ubiquinone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cupressus Sempervirens Oil, Citrus Aurantium Flower Oil, Eriocephalus Punctulatus Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil Expressed, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

I might be no scientist or Wikipedia, but I have tried plenty of face oils and my personal belief is that: if it works, it works and I will feel/see the results over the course of using an X product. Complicated terminology aside and from a customer's point of view - I think this oil is great. From my experience face oils are either on a "dry" or "balmy" side; you can sense that as soon as you start massaging it into the skin. While you can still feel your skin's texture through a drier formula, "balmy" oils have more of a slip to them and feel very smooth on the skin. I personally prefer the latter formula. Mainly because while it still gets easily absorbed by your skin, it also adds a nice soothing layer, giving you that extra bit of comfort. Rosalena, in my book, is quite similar in feel to my other HG face oil by Grown Alchemist, which I have talked about here.

Rosalena suggest that Beauty & The Beast can be applied day and night; it is also one of those oils, which both men and women can use (hence the name). I love using it as an overnight treatment: it gets absorbed fairly quick and I find that it instantly rejuvenates and hydrates my skin. Texture never feels greasy, sticky or anything like that. I don't think that it clogs pores and if you have a dry or normal-to-dry skin type like moi, then I think you will really like this formula. Plus it is packed with antioxidants and vitamins, so even though you might not notice instant results, you will see/feel just how much healthier your skin will appear over time.

There is also something zen about this particular oil; every time I use it before going to bed, I feel much calmer and de-stressed. I did have some hormonal breakouts during the time of testing this product and I think that camellia and chamomile oils really helped soothe and "repair" damaged skin areas. Overall I am very happy with this product and recommend it to all the beauties (and well...beasts too!). 4-5 drops are more than enough per single use and I am sure one bottle like this should last up to 6 months.

Rock & Rose Face Oil + Goodness & Tonic Face Mist

Now Rosalena ladies were so kind to also give me a couple of samples to try. I got a teeny-weeny cute little sample of Rock & Rose Face Oil, which a lot of my blogger-friends on Instagram have raved about. I actually prefer to use this oil in the morning, especially when I know that I won't be wearing make-up (it would be a shame to put layers of make-up on top of something so green and nourishing in my humble opinion). I think it energizes, hydrates and smells divine (if you are into holistic beauty in general - you will really enjoy these oils). A lovely skincare product indeed.

Last but not least - I also got a sample of Goodness & Tonic Face Mist. I kid you not, the minute I opened Rosalena's cutest parcel, I drenched myself in it. This is such a great face mist, because it instantly revives the skin and I think it would be great for long-haul flights. Smells divine and citrusy (bergamot, orange and grapefruit oils are key ingredients here). Sometimes citrus fruits/ingredients break me out (I have some sort of an allergy), but it didn't happen with this product, so I am very happy about that. Once this mist sets, it gives a slight tightening sensation, so if you find something like Caudalie Beauty Elixir a touch too rich, Goodness & Tonic might be a better option. Also a great mist for someone with a combination/oily skin to effectively prime and set your make-up.

Hope you guys have enjoyed this review. I think that from a quality/effectiveness point of view - Rosalena is great and I hope that the brand keeps on growing and creating amazing new formulas.
