TOP TIP #1. We love how top facialist from Little Mountain Beauty walks us through a good skin cleanse with the best idea ever about filling the sink with warm water and a drop of lavender for yours face cloth - genius. Anything we can all do to enhance our skincare routine adds value to our wellness intention.
The first step in your skincare routine is a good cleanse. Clean skin; there’s nothing more beautiful. My facials always start with a double cleanse. First step cleanse to take off any makeup, remove dirt, grease, oil and prepare your skin for the next product. The first cleanse of your skin can be a gorgeous ritual to either welcome yourself into your day, or start to switch off from the day and prepare for bed. . Use an oil based cleanser- oily skin types need not be afraid of adding oil onto your skin: oil dissolves oil and impurities without stripping the skin of essential moisturiser.
I fill the sink with hot water and add a dash of lavender essential oil. Pop my flannel, mitts or cloth in to soak. With my face dry, spread the cleanser and massage gently all over. My new favourite is Rosalena Skincare Cleanse and Be Balm. It smells amazing and melts into the skin so beautifully that you can’t help but release a big breath and start to relax.
Squeeze out your cloth and use to wipe all the cleanser off, paying particular attention to the hairline, near your ears and under your chin. Continue with the rest of your skin ritual or finish with a spritz or wipe of toner and your preferred moisturiser or facial oil. (More on this later) .
I’ll be using Rosalena Skincare products in my facials very soon, but in the meantime you can get 15% off at their checkout using the code LITTLEMOUNTAINBEAUTY. Cleanse and Be Balm comes with a headband, cleansing cloths and a travel bag.
